Winter 07-08

Hi everyone!

Dad has not been keeping up with his blog duties! It is over a year out of date now! So time to get caught up... Over the next few posts we will try to cover Winter of 2007-08, then Spring-Summer 08 and finally what has happened now in Fall of 08. We've got lots of stuff to tell you about: Grandma's visit, a reunion, a wedding, our trip west, a bear(!) and lots more. Look for new photos along the side of the blog as well as here in the text.

We had a great Christmas. We went to a few parties, saw Santa few times and got lots of presents. Here is a picture of Jin's Christmas wish list. She got everything she asked for! Thank you Santa!

This year we had a "real" winter (see the photo in the last post), or at least that's what Mommy and Daddy called it. They said it was just like when they were kids, a really long time ago. Our neighbour, Bob, made a skating rink on the lake in front of his house in December and we skated on it all winter long. Lili learned how to skate and Jin got better. Thank you "Bob the Rink Builder"!

After Christmas was party season, let me see there was regular New Years (Jan 1) and then 3 or 4 (we lost count!) Chinese/Lunar New Years parties. Party! Party! Party! We even got to wear our new hanboks (see picture in sidebar) to a couple parties.

The extra special event this winter was a visit from Grandma. Yeah!!! She flew here for March Break (that's us meeting her at the airport). We took her skating (on Bob's rink) and did lost of other fun stuff with her. It was a great but too short visit. Love you G'ma!!!!
Then came spring and with that 2 big events for Lili, her family day and her birthday. Yipeee!!! Mom made really cool cakes - Mom's are just the greatest! Can you see Lili in the garden cake?

Well that brings us up to spring. Next up we'll post about Lili's China group reunion and Jin's graduaton.

Love!
J&L
