This September was extra special because Lili was finally getting to go to school with big sister Jin. Yeah!!! JK started a week after the official first day of school, so Lili had to be just a little more patient. Then finally it was her turn! She just about flew up the stairs of the bus. Finally she was a school girl. Here is a photo of her with her helpful big sister and Elaine the bus driver.
Lili loves school! Lots of new friends and new things to learn. Her favourite part of school is recess, of course. She's even been to her first classmate's birthday party.
Jin also had a big event in September. She finally lost her first tooth. It was a long time coming. She's been imagining loose teeth for months now. Then finally one was loose. For days it was hanging on and we called it a "snaggle tooth". Then "pop", out it came all by itself. Since then Jin has lost her second tooth. I think the tooth fairy knows were our house is now.
One of our fall traditions is picking cranberries in the bog near our house. The bog is right beside blueberry hill where we go to pick "blues" in July and August. Cranberries aren't ready to pick until October or November. We have to wear our boots because the bog is wet.
Here we are helping Mom pick cranberries and here is a bucket of berries. Just in time for Thanksgiving turkey, mmmmm!
This year we went to Kemptville for Thanksgiving to visit Papa (grandpa), Grandma, Uncle Gerry, Aunt Nicole and cousins Josh and Jamie. Here we are with Papa at his house.
While we were at Uncle Jerry's place Aunt Nicole and Jamie took us to a farm to buy a pumpkin and do some cool activities. Here is photo of Jamie and Lili driving the "pumpkin bus".
Soon after Thanksgiving it was time for Halloween. Oooooooooooooo! This year Mommy made us witch costumes. We were very scary! We scared lots of goodies from our neighbours.
We also got to go to a ranch with our friends for a Halloween party. They had some neat animals at the farm (a llama!). We got to ride in a horse drawn wagon and then got to ride horses by ourselves. Fun!
You may notice the cow girls have their faces painted. Look on the side bar to see picture of these cool cats.
Soon it will be time to get ready for the biggest holdiay of the year, Christmas. Better get ready.
Bye for now!
Love, J & L
