Season's Greetings!
The snows (and there has been a lot!) of December meant that Christmas was not far away. We spent much of December getting ready for the big day, shopping for presents, getting our tree, decorating it and the house, helping Mom with Christmas baking, going to parties and friends' houses, and counting the days till Santa comes. Exciting !!!!

We started off the holiday season with a gingerbread house decorating party for Jin and her friends (and Lili too). Here they are with their tasty houses: Sydney, Lili Jin Sami and Grace. Allie was there too but she had to leave early. Jin really enjoyed hosting her first play/craft party!
This year Lili got to take part in her very first Christmas Concert at school. Here she is holding the sign in her class' Hawaiian Christmas skit.

We went to 2 Christmas parties this year. One at Dad's work and the other with the local Korean association. Here we are on Santa's lap at the party at Daddy's work.
And here we are with Santa and the students and teachers of our Korean Language School.
After that picture we went to party with our Moms and Dads and had a feast of great Korean food and good times with our friends.
Finally after all this fun and all the waiting, the big night finally came, Christmas Eve. After our traditional Christmas Eve dinner of gimbap (sushi), Chinese dumplings and Korean BBQ wings we all got to open one present each. Then we put out some reindeer food and left some cookies and a drink for Santa. Then it was time for bed. We tried to stay awake to listen for reindeer bells but....zzzzzzzz......and then it was CHRISTMAS MORNING!!!!
Here are some pictures of the fun.
All that and a great turkey dinner too! Hope you had a Merry Christmas too.
We've been off school for almost 2 weeks now. Dad stayed home with us - Mom had no more vacation days left. We've had fun, playing with new toys, watching movies, visiting neighbours. Today is New Years Eve, and we're having a party at home (more gimpap! yeah!). We've got the house decorated and Mom should be home soon, so we better sign off and get ready for the fun. Hope you all have a Happy New Year and a great 2009. We've got some big plans for next year to tell you about - will save that for later.
Bye for now. Lots of love to you all!!!
Jin and Lili (and Mommy and Daddy too)
